WELCOME TO GRANGE FARM & DUNMOW RUNNERS CLUB

Introducing people to the benefits of running for over 30 years.

The club has around 100 members and welcomes runners of all abilities, from new starters to county champions.

Coached training sessions are currently held on Monday and Wednesday nights and these are tailored to runners from all backgrounds and abilities. Any new runners who would like to come along to one of these sessions, please get in touch with the "Join Us For A Run" link below.

The club hosts a local road race the Stebbing Remembrance Day 10 mile. We have an extensive social programme and work hard to raise funds for local charities.​

Track Training

Experience a significant boost in your stamina and endurance levels as you train with our dedicated running community.

​Every Monday - Meeting at 7:30pm @ Braintree Sport and Health Club

We meet at track to begin training at 7:30pm sharp.

​

We suggest warming up before the session. You can either join one of our road warm-up runs, departing from Braintree Leisure Centre at 7pm, or get your muscles ready by running laps on the track.

​

Please ensure you have enough time to check in at reception before using the track. A single-use entrance costs £4.68 . For regular attendees, a £38 annual track pass is a more economical option.

Road Training

Improve your overall well-being and mental health through the sheer joy and therapeutic effects of running with like-minded individuals.

Every Wednesday, we hold a structured training session, typically meeting at either Great Dunmow Leisure Centre or outside The Flitch Green Academy. Our training takes place in various locations around Great Dunmow and Flitch Green. ​We depart for training at 7:30 pm, so please aim to arrive 10-15 minutes earlier.

​

On the 1st Wednesday of the month we run against our own PB in the timed lap. CLICK HERE for route details.

Racing

Compete in some of the best races that the southeast has to offer. 

We run Essex and Mid Essex XC Leagues,  Essex Way Relay and compete in the Club Chamionships. We also organise and run our club race - Stebbing 10

We proudly organize and host a major running event: the Stebbing 10.

These award winning courses, form part of the Essex Championships, and draw over 400 runners from Essex and beyond. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a passionate beginner, our events offer an inclusive atmosphere and unforgettable experiences, ensuring every participant feels like a champion.​​

We enter several men's, women's, and mixed relay teams in the annual Essex Way Relay Race, a prestigious event that tests endurance, strategy, and teamwork across varied terrain. Additionally, you have the opportunity to compete for awards within the Club Championships, where you can challenge fellow club members in a friendly yet competitive setting. Our Club Championships are designed to celebrate personal achievement and collective effort, encouraging runners to push their limits and achieve their best.

 

In the winter months, our competitive spirit continues as we take part in the Essex and Mid Essex Cross Country Leagues. These leagues offer a different kind of challenge, with courses that test our resilience and determination through varying weather and terrain. Each race is a testament to the dedication and grit of our runners, who bravely face the elements to represent our club with pride. By participating in these events, you become part of a vibrant community of runners who support and inspire each other year-round.

Social Running

Every Tuesdays 9am and Weekends

We have weekly social running opportunities.

A Social Running group that meets at Felsted on a Tuesday at 9am.

 

Also a Weekend Social Run run group thats meets on either a Saturday or Sunday, with times and locations that varie. These socaial runs are normally longer distances but desinged to be a slower more relaxed pace,

There are dedicated WhatsApp groups for these social event where you can get more information, just ask your local coach to join.

​​

We have a yearly Summer Social and Christmas Social, amongst many other events that run throughout the year.

JOIN US FOR A RUN

We are a very friendly club and welcome anyone from the age of 18 and over, who enjoys running and wants to be part of group. We have a very mixed membership, of all abilities; from serious race competitors to people just starting out.

The cost of joining for a full year as a full member is £39.00, which includes affiliation to England Athletics.
